Medical Leadership You Can Trust
Dr. Jesse Thompson is the founder and lead physician for both Med Connect Backcountry and Prime Medical in Rossland, BC, and previously served as Medical Director for a search and rescue team. He brings thousands of hours of emergency medicine experience, with a focus on clear assessment, practical decision-making, and calm communication under pressure.
In remote settings, that same decision-making matters even more. Dr. Thompson is known for staying calm under pressure, prioritizing what matters, and guiding people through the safest next step when situations are moving fast and information is limited. He has been directly involved in remote emergency decision-making, including a nighttime rescue covered by CHEK News.
Dr. Thompson is also an active outdoorsman and hunter, and that firsthand backcountry experience shapes the way he approaches risk, planning, and practical recommendations in the field.
